- The first thing shoppers (and Etsy’s algorithm) see is your product title, so make it work for you!
- Start with your most important keywords—what would your ideal customer search for?
- What would your ideal customer be literally be typing into the search bar to find you??
- Keep it clear and natural (no keyword stuffing, please!)
- Make sure it reads well and grabs attention in search results.
- We do not want to confuse Etsy your customers.
- When they read your listing title they should know exactly what they’ll be clicking on.
#2 Perfect Your Product Photos
I’m sure you’ve heard it over and over again! Because its True! Your Product photos are King!

- Your first listing photo is everything—this is what Etsy Ads will showcase!
- Use high-quality, well-lit images that stop the scroll.
- Lifestyle shots? Yes, please! Show how your product is used in real life.
- Keep your backgrounds clean, bright, and on-brand.
#3 Optimize Tags & Keywords
- Etsy gives you 13 tag slots—so use them all!
- Research high-performing keywords your audience is actually searching for.
- Mix broad and niche tags for better visibility (think “personalized gift” + “custom leather keychain”).
- Update your tags seasonally or when trends change.
